Most homes have just two available outlets under the kitchen sink, one for the dishwasher and one for the garbage disposal. If you only have two outlets and both are in-use you might need to add an additional outlet or use a short extension cord with a double outlet. This all-in-one reverse osmosis filter is also 17 inches tall so if you have a low clearance sink you might want to check to make sure you have enough space.The filter is supposed to last approximately 12-24 months according to the manufacturer, I don't know how many gallons the filter is rated for as the unit supposed to flash when it's time to change the filter. I didn't see anything in the manual giving the approximate gallons or liters it can filter before requiring replacement. The filter unit is very compact and doesn't take much space under the sink about the same dimensions as a sheet of paper 8 x 10 footprint and 17 inches tall. The ice from the filtered water is very clear which is how I can tell if the filter has removed the hardness from my water. Installation is fairly straightforward with just three connections going in/out of the back of the unit. Tap water into the unit, waste water out, and the filtered water going to the dispenser.

This is a tankless RO system that is able to filter 600 GPD. It has a 0.0001-micron RO membrane, as well as other stages of filtration such as a carbon rod, inhibitor, activated carbon block made from coconut shells, and non-woven fabric.I can't speak to how long the filter lasts yet.I got this to be able to drink water from the tap and not have to engage in the tedious task of running all the water used to drink and clean my produce through my 10-gal pitcher water filter. This is a game changer in terms of saving me time and producing clean, drinkable water with reduced amounts of TDS, PFAs, and contaminants in the final product!

Water tastes great, looks crystal clear, and is fairly fast flowing. This is a great system if you are looking for something that doesn't have a large footprint.At the time of this review, replacement filters for the VonWater V1 cost about $90 and need to be replaced once per year. This is one of the most affordable yearly RO filter costs, probably because this unit only uses a single filter instead of a set of 3 or 5.The system is compact enough to fit under just about any sink, but it does need a drain line to be installed. This involves drilling a small hole and attaching a saddle to your existing drain. Fairly easy to do, but does require a drill.

This VonWater reverse osmosis system is definitely worth it! Good small under sink system that doesn't need a tank. Great for space saving and Installation is pretty straightforward and only requires some basic plumbing and tool skills. The filter is supposed to last between 12-24 months, but we haven't had it in use that long yet so I can comment on that. Using my water tester is significantly reduces the ppm of dissolved solids in the water and makes it taste much better. The 2:1 ratio is really nice since it doesn't waste as much water as the old traditional style of reverse osmosis systems. We installed this in our downstairs guest apartment and it works great. You can order extra filters on the VonWater Amazon store which is awesome and makes it easy to keep clean, good-tasting water on tap all the time. This is a must-have in my opinion if you want good water in your home.
